How to make Steam Cake – This cake is one of Indonesia’s signature wet foods. This one cake is very easy to make and uses fairly simple ingredients. Steamed cake also has a taste that is quite liked by people because of its soft texture. Not a few people are interested and create their own steamed sponge.

There are a lot of kinds of steamed sponge cake and all of them are very easy to make. Even for someone who has just learned to bake a cake, sponge is one of their choices for creation. Now for those of you who are interested in making steamed sponge and bored with the same menu, let’s try making steamed sponge with various variants.

You can try to make this the two steamed cake, the taste is guaranteed to be delicious.

Chocolate Steamed Cake

Material A:

– 200 grams of flour sugar

– 2 eggs

– 160 cc of water

– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla cream

Material B:

– 200 grams of wheat flour

– 25 grams of cocoa powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 tsp baking powder

Material C:

– 10 gr cake emulsifier

Material D:

– 25 grams of chocochips

– 1/2 teaspoon chocolate paste

How to make:

– Mixer material A for about 5 minutes at maximum speed.

– Add ingredients B, mixer for 1 minute on low speed

– Enter the ingredients C, the mixer again for about 5 minutes at high speed

– Add chocolate paste. Stir well, add the chocochips

– Prepare a steamed sponge mold, cover it with bolkus paper or cup, pour the dough until it’s full

–  Steam around 15 minutes over high heat do not open the lid until cooked.

Pandan Ombre Steamed Cake.

Material A:

– 5 whole eggs

– 250 grams of sugar

– 1 tbsp

Material B:

– 220 gr low / medium pro flour

– 30 grams of cornstarch

– 1/4 teaspoon vanilla powder

– A pinch of salt

– Sift into 1 container of all ingredients, set aside

Material C:

– 100 ml of vegetable oil

– 120 ml instant coconut milk

– 50 ml of water / liquid milk

– Mix all ingredients together, stir again before pouring

Pandan paste to taste

Toppings: buttercream, grated cheese

How to make:

– Heat the steamer until the water boils

– Use a 20cm square pan and line it with baking paper. Brush around the edges of the pan with oil / margarine

– Beat with a high speed mixer all ingredients A until pale white and thickened about 10 minutes (adjust each mixer)

– After the dough thickens, gradually pour ingredient B and ingredient C alternately, starting with flour and ending with flour. Mixer on medium speed until well blended

– Divide and weigh the dough into 4 equal portions

1. 1 container of dough + 1/8 tsp pandan paste + 1/2 tsp flour

2. 1 container of dough + 1/4 tsp pandan paste + 1/2 tsp flour

3.1 container dough + 1/2 tsp pandan paste + 1/2 tsp flour

4. 1 container of dough + 1 teaspoon of pandan paste + 1/2 teaspoon of flour

– To adjust the color level yourself.

– Stir back each dough until well blended.

– Pour each dough into a triangular plastic (so that the dough is flatter when poured)

– Pour 1 layer of dough into the pan (starting from the darker color)

– Steam the first layer on medium heat for 8 minutes. Don’t forget to cover the steamer wrapped in a napkin.

– After 8 minutes open the lid of the steamer and pour the second layer, kick the pan, then steam again. Do this until each layer runs out. the last layer is steamed for 15 minutes.

– If already cooked, take the cake from the steamer.

– Let it cool and then remove it from the pan.
